Think you have what it takes to be crowned a Germ Genius? Put your infectious diseases knowledge to the test in the 2026 SNPhA x SIDP Germ Genius Competition! This exciting competition provides student pharmacists with the opportunity to showcase their clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills, and passion for infectious diseases in a fast-paced, Jeopardy-style competition.
Teams selected to compete will face off LIVE at the 2026 SNPhA National Convention in Rockville, Maryland, answering questions on topics including microbiology, antimicrobial stewardship, infectious disease pharmacotherapy, and more. Competitors will have the chance to demonstrate their expertise while engaging with peers and leaders in the field of infectious diseases.
Team Requirements
Each team must consist oftwo (2) SNPhA student members.
Students must be enrolled as full-time pharmacy students in the first through fourth professional years of an accredited pharmacy program during the 2026–2027 academic year.
Team membersmay attend different schools or colleges of pharmacy.
Interested in competing but don't have a teammate? No problem! Complete the partner matching form to connect with another interested SNPhA member. Please note that participants are responsible for securing a teammate and submitting the team registration form by the application deadline.
Selected teams will earn the opportunity to compete on the national stage for bragging rights, recognition, and the title of2026 Germ Genius Champions!
