About The Student National Pharmaceutical Association

The Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) was founded in 1972 on the campus of Florida A & M University, when Sharon Roquemore (now Sharon Lovick Edwards) and John J. Scrivens organized that first meeting. In addition to the students from Florida A & M University, students from Howard University, Texas Southern University, Xavier University and other schools were in attendance. The meeting participants numbered about one hundred.

Our Mission

SNPhA is an educational service association of pharmacy students who are concerned about the profession of pharmacy, healthcare issues, and the poor minority representation in these areas. The purpose of SNPhA is to plan, organize, coordinate, and execute programs geared toward the improvement of the health, education, and social environment of minority communities.

Objectives:

  • To offer student members the opportunity to develop leadership and professional skills.
  • To educate students about, and promote active participation in national healthcare issues.
  • To develop the role of the minority health professional as a vital member of the healthcare team.
  • To develop within communities a positive image of minority health professionals.
  • To educate communities on better health practices and to increase their awareness and understanding of diseases.

EXECUTIVE BOARD

Precious Craig

PRESIDENT

Bio


Precious Craig is a fourth-year PharmD student at the University of Arizona. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, and raised in Peoria, Arizona, she earned a M.S. in Public Health in 2025 and B.S. in Public Health with a minor in Biochemistry in 2021.

  In 2022, Precious co-founded and served as President of the SNPhA chapter at her school. Nationally, she served as the SNPhA National President-Elect from 2024-2025, Region V Facilitator from 2023 to 2024 and was a member of the National Nominations Committee in 2023. Precious launched a Black Health Fair in Tucson to address healthcare disparities in underserved communities and has actively supported underrepresented students through her leadership roles. She also facilitated collaboration between SNPhA and MexZona, a program that sends pharmacy students to Mexico for monthly health clinics.

  She completed the Greater Tucson Leadership Lead Tucson Program, earning the Gen Ronald L. Kurth Award, and became one of the youngest recipients of Tucson's 40 Under 40 award. Precious is passionate about pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry. In her free time, she coaches track for the Tucson Elite Athletic Club and enjoys playing the guitar, boxing, weightlifting, cooking, and photography.

This year, Precious will serve as the SNPhA National President-Elect and is excited to continue driving meaningful change within the organization. She looks forward to connecting with fellow students and continuing to Rise Beyond Limits within the community


Brittney Combest

PRESIDENT-ELECT

Bio


Brittney Combest is a third-year PharmD Candidate at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy. A proud Memphis native, she earned her B.S. in Biology with a minor in Accounting from Grambling State University.

  Growing up in Memphis, Brittney witnessed firsthand the effects of poverty and limited access to healthcare, experiences that sparked her passion for advancing health literacy and advocating for underserved communities. She found her purpose in SNPhA, where the mission to serve the underserved aligned closely with her own values. .

  As Chapter Vice President, Brittney revitalized chapter engagement by doubling membership and strengthening the organization’s presence on campus. She has led impactful service events such as the Annual African American Wellness Festival, local health fairs, and outreach events at schools, helping to bridge gaps in healthcare access and education to populations who are underrepresented.

Beyond the world of pharmacy, Brittney enjoys spending time with her family and friends, binge-watching her favorite shows, teaching kids how to play tennis, playing golf and volleyball, and giving back through service events with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Brittney is honored to serve as the 2025–2026 SNPhA National President-Elect and is excited to empower students and communities to Rise Beyond Limits this year!


Lauren Wells

VICE PRESIDENT

Bio


Lauren Wells is a fourth-year pharmacy student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, pursuing her PharmD and Master of Business Administration.

She is originally from Chicago, IL where she fell in love with making a difference in underserved communities. When she joined SNPhA during pharmacy school, she was able to find her voice and passion. As a first-year student, she was the only P1 on the initiative chair committees and quickly embraced the organization’s mission. She later served as Chapter Vice President, where she motivated her team to increase community engagement throughout the St. Louis region. Most recently, she completed her term as National Recording Secretary and was honored to witness the meaningful impact SNPhA members had across the nation.

Outside of SNPhA, Lauren is involved in various organizations including American Pharmacists Association, Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists and Phi Lambda Sigma. When not busy with school organizations, she enjoys walking her English bulldog, Zoei, and spending time at the movie theater.

Now serving as National Vice President, Lauren is excited to help SNPhA “Rise Beyond Limits” and is committed to elevating the SNPhAm community to new heights.


Maddison Berry

RECORDING SECRETARY

Bio


Maddie Berry is a Doctor of Pharmacy candidate at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy, where she also earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Studies. Originally from Ohio, she began her academic journey at Xavier University in Cincinnati, earning a B.S. in Chemical Sciences and serving as the university’s mascot, the Blue Blob. Maddie will earn her PharmD in 2026, driven by a passion for psychopharmacotherapy, public health, and improving healthcare access for underserved populations.

Her SNPhA involvement began at the end of her P1 year when she was elected Chapter President-Elect. During that year, KU hosted the 2023–2024 Regions 3, 4, and 5 Conference. She later served as Chapter President and now serves as National Recording Secretary. Maddie is dedicated to fostering inclusive, collaborative, and transparent spaces in pharmacy.

Beyond SNPhA, Maddie is a member of Phi Lambda Sigma, the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists, and the Kansas Pharmacists Association. She serves as a commissioned officer in the United States Public Health Service and will be working as a pharmacist for the Bureau of Prisons after graduation improving patient care and mental health access in correctional settings.

Outside of pharmacy, Maddie loves to read, go to concerts and spend time with her fiancé and with her two pets, Bones and Rue.

Maddie embraces SNPhA’s mission to serve the underserved and this year’s presidential theme, "Rise Beyond Limits."


Magdalene Mallory

Bio


Magdalene Mallory is a 4th-year PharmD candidate at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill. A proud Texan, she earned her B.S. in Human Biology with a concentration in pre-pharmacy studies from The University of Texas at Austin. Growing up in Aledo, a small town outside the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Magdalene witnessed firsthand the challenges underserved communities face in accessing basic supplies and healthcare services. These experiences shaped her passion for increasing healthcare access for all.


Her SNPhA journey began as a pre-pharmacy student and has since expanded to include leadership at both the local and national level. She has served as Chapter Treasurer, National Public Relations Liaison on the Project Keepsake Subcommittee, and most recently as the 2024–2025 National Project Keepsake Chair. In these roles, she has led initiatives that raised awareness of health equity while empowering communities through education and service.

Beyond SNPhA, Magdalene is a member of Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society, Academy of Managed Care Pharmacists, and the Industry Pharmacists Organization.

Outside of her academic and professional commitments, Magdalene enjoys being in the kitchen, whether that’s cooking, baking, or exploring new restaurants. She also loves trying out new workout classes and cherishes quality time with family and friends.

Magdalene is honored to serve as the 2025–2026 National Corresponding Secretary and looks forward to empowering members as SNPhA continues to, "Rise Beyond Limits."


Nkechi Utomi-Obichie

PUBLIC RELATIONS LIAISON (Pro Tempore)

Bio


Nkechi Utomi-Obichie is a final-year PharmD candidate at Temple University School of Pharmacy. She is from Lagos, Nigeria, where she developed a passion for addressing health disparities and improving access to care in underserved communities. Before beginning pharmacy school, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from New Mexico Highlands University.


Since joining SNPhA, Nkechi has taken on leadership roles at both the chapter and national levels. She previously served as PY2 Representative and Chapter Vice President, where she strengthened community outreach and member engagement. Beyond SNPhA, she has held roles as president of the Network for Collaborative Oncology Development & Advancement (NCODA) student chapter and historian and delegate for Lambda Kappa Sigma (LKS). She has also represented Temple at national conferences, competed in clinical skills competitions, and contributed to innovative public health initiatives that blend creativity, advocacy, and evidence-based care.

Her professional interests include oncology pharmacy, health equity, and patient advocacy. When not busy with school organizations, she enjoys traveling, singing, and learning different dance styles.

Nkechi is honored to serve as the 2025-2026 National Public Relations Liaison and is excited to help SNPhA Rise Beyond Limits by amplifying member voices and showcasing their impact nationwide.

Oluseyi Olasupo

Bio


Oluseyi (Seyi) Olasupo is a fourth-year PharmD Candidate at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Originally from Dallas, TX, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Howard University.


From a young age, Seyi has carried a passion for uplifting and supporting those around her—a value that has guided her throughout her academic and professional journey. When transitioning from an HBCU to a PWI, SNPhA provided her with a true sense of belonging and became the foundation of her pharmacy school experience. Her SNPhA journey began early, and by the end of her P1 year she was elected President-Elect, later stepping into the role of Chapter President. During her presidency, she made it her mission to amplify her chapter’s presence both locally and nationally by spearheading impactful community service initiatives and fostering collaborations within and outside of her pharmacy school.

Beyond SNPhA, Seyi is involved in Phi Delta Chi, the Maryland Pharmacists Association, and Phi Lambda Sigma. Outside of pharmacy school, she enjoys dancing, listening to true crime podcasts, and taking solo movie theater trips as a way to recharge and practice self-care.

Seyi is honored to serve as the 2025–2026 Region I Facilitator and is excited to guide chapters on their journey. She looks forward to inspiring members, building lasting connections, and helping shape a legacy of impact as Region I continues to."Rise Beyond Limits."


Quanshaul Vinson

Bio


Quanshaul J. Vinson is a proud native of Wilson’s Mills, North Carolina. He earned his Associate of Science degree from Johnston Community College and his Bachelor of Science degree from East Carolina University. Currently, Quan is a distinguished tri-degree student at the Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Master of Science Public Health (MSPH), and Master of Business Administration (MBA).


Balancing the demanding coursework of three graduate programs, Quan also stands out as an accomplished leader among his peers. His accolades and leadership roles include serving as the Inaugural Leadership Intern (2024) at Duke University Hospital Pharmacy. Additionally, he serves nationally as the Region 2 Facilitator for SNPhA and as a Board of Directors Member-at-Large for the Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society.

Quan’s passions extend beyond the classroom. He has a deep love for travel and enjoys learning about other cultures. In 2022, he studied abroad in Ghana, where he collaborated with public health and medical teams in rural communities to advance health initiatives and promote access to care.


Mairah Bobo

Mariah Bobo is a fourth-year PharmD candidate at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Originally from Southfield, Michigan, just outside of Detroit, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Michigan in 2022.


In 2022, Mariah’s SNPhA journey began. As an out-of-state pharmacy student seeking community, she quickly found a home within SNPhA, where she was able to live out her passion for serving underserved populations through initiative-driven service events. Over the years, she has held several leadership roles, including Chapter President and member of two National Subcommittees: Bridging the Gap and Remember the Ribbon. As Chapter President, she spearheaded initiatives to expand community outreach, strengthen health equity efforts, and enhance professional development opportunities for members. Under her leadership, her chapter earned multiple Initiative Awards and was named a finalist for the Large Chapter C.I.C. Excellence Award.

Mariah continues to serve underserved communities in various capacities, including as a Bridge to Care coordinator at a student-run, free health clinic in Carrboro, NC. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where service remains at the heart of her work. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling, discovering new foods, reading great books, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Mariah is thrilled to serve as the 2025–2026 Region 3 Facilitator, continuing to Rise Beyond Limits by empowering chapters, strengthening connections, and driving meaningful change across the region. She looks forward to leading Region 3 through a year of impact, growth, and collaboration.


Bio


Aiga Ale is a fourth-year pharmacy student at the University of Texas at Tyler and of American Samoan heritage, born and raised in Killeen, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in Pre-Medicine from the University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu.

As SNPhA Chapter President (2024–2025), Aiga led her chapter to first place for the Chauncey I. Cooper Award–Medium Chapter of the Year and third place for the Fighting Diabetes Initiative. She expanded services at UT Tyler’s interprofessional clinic under the bridge (iCLUB), co-initiated a pharmacy-student-led influenza clinic, and helped provide over 200 blankets, warm clothing, and non-perishable snacks to underserved families through Hunger For Love’s Christmas Under the Bridge.

Aiga also co-facilitated Tyler’s first Parent Connect Program, building trust with families to address social and health disparities. As SNPhA’s Region 4 Facilitator, she is excited to Rise Beyond Limits and empower students to make a lasting impact.


Olajumoke Awe

Olajumoke Awe, known to many of her peers as “Jumie,” was born and raised in the heart of Houston, TX and is currently a fourth-year pharmacy student at Texas A&M University. With a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Psychology, she has always been drawn to the intersection of science and human connection. Nicknamed “Little Miss SNPhA” by her local chapter and classmates, Jumie first served as Fundraising Chair, where she led one of the most successful fundraisers in her school’s history, before being elected as Chapter Delegate.


Her passion & leadership have now led her to serve as the Region V Facilitator of the ’25 - ‘26 National Board of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association. She is also an engaged member of other professional pharmacy organizations, including the Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International (CPFI), Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS), and the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP).


Outside of pharmacy, Jumie is a creative with a love for fashion, music, and creating her own adventures. Her professional interests in Industry, Academia, Health Equity, and Management all reflect her desire to innovate and lead uniquely within healthcare, while her creative pursuits keep her inspired and balanced. This year’s SNPhA theme Rise Beyond Limits resonates deeply with Jumie, as her path has not been without challenges. Yet still, she is dedicated to continually pursuing her purpose with determination & encouraging her fellow SNPhAm to do the same!

Brenyana Carrillo is a third-year pharmacy student at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy whose heart for service has shaped every step of her journey. Throughout pharmacy school, Brenyana has immersed herself in service and leadership, holding positions within ASCP, APhA-ASP, and SNPhA.


She has dedicated countless hours to volunteer initiatives, often prioritizing community service alongside her academic journey. These experiences have deepened her commitment to improving access to care, particularly for underserved populations, and strengthened her belief in the power of empowering others.

As the 2025-2026 National Operation Immunization Chair, Brenyana is eager to r Rise Beyond Limits using this platform to advance immunization efforts nationwide and equipping others with the tools to make meaningful change.


Ogechi Ngwakwe

BRIDGING THE GAP

Ogechi Ngwakwe is a fourth-year pharmacy student at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, where she also earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Originally from Dallas, Texas, she was raised around healthcare providers who instilled in her a deep compassion for underserved communities.

Her involvement in the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) began during her pre-pharmacy years and quickly became a defining part of her journey. As a P1, she served as the CAPs Coordinator and attended her first Regional Conference, experiences that ignited her passion for connecting with members nationwide.

Beyond SNPhA, Ogechi has been actively engaged in Phi Lambda Sigma, the Rho Chi Honor Society, and the Texas Pharmacy Association. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys reading, traveling, and playing golf and tennis.

Ogechi is honored to serve as the National Bridging the Gap Initiative Chair, where she is committed to engaging members across the NPhA/SNPhA community. She is passionate about supporting student development from high school through pharmacy school and strengthening the transition into professional practice. Venise Govan

Venise Govan is a 4th year PharmD Candidate at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Pharmacy. She is from Maryville, Illinois and earned her B.S. in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry from Tennessee State University in 2022.

Venise’s SNPhA journey began at the end of her first year of pharmacy school, when she was elected as her chapter’s Delegate. This role gave her the opportunity to attend the 2023 National Convention in New Orleans, a turning point that solidified SNPhA as her professional home. Since then, she has remained deeply committed to the organization’s mission of serving the underserved through advocacy, education, and leadership.

As a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, service is ingrained in Venise’s heart. She is passionate about promoting equity in healthcare and empowering marginalized communities through advocacy. Outside of pharmacy school she loves spending time with family and friends, creating meaningful memories.

This year, Venise is honored to serve as the LMBI chair, where she is dedicated to cultivating meaningful connections, uplifting student leaders, and advancing SNPhA’s mission. She looks forward to helping every chapter Rise Beyond Limits. and make a lasting impact.


Breannah Keys

PROJECT KEEPSAKE

Bio


Breannah Keys is a fourth-year PharmD candidate at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She is originally from Lanham, MD and has attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since 2018.


Growing up in a predominantly minority community, she has noticed how location and education quality impact the quality of healthcare people receive as compared to those from more affluent areas. This sparked her passion for advocating for equitable access to healthcare for all people. She joined her local SNPhA chapter during her PY1 year and served as vice president for two years. While she was a member of her local chapter, she participated in a service project where she provided health screenings and disease state educational materials to patients in an underresourced town in rural North Carolina.

As the national project keepsake initiative chair, she hopes to bring this same zeal for serving the underserved to raise awareness for chronic kidney disease (CKD). She hopes to encourage local chapter members to empower patients to "Rise Beyond Limits." of CKD.


Christopher Lane

FIGHTING DIABETES

Christopher Lane is a third-year PharmD candidate at the University of Louisiana Monroe. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Psychology from Louisiana State University A&M.

Growing up without healthcare professionals in his family, Christopher often felt powerless when relatives were diagnosed with serious illnesses. This lack of access to knowledge and resources fueled his passion to pursue a career in healthcare and to serve as an advocate for his community. His year as a pharmacy technician before starting pharmacy school gave him firsthand insight into the health disparities affecting underserved populations in his hometown.

Christopher’s journey with the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) began in his first year of pharmacy school as Legislative and Membership Benefits Initiative (LMBI) Vice Chair. After attending his first regional and national conferences, he embraced SNPhA’s mission to serve the underserved and be a voice for minority and underrepresented communities.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new food spots, and traveling. Now serving as Fighting Diabetes Chair, Christopher is eager to break boundaries and Rise Beyond Limits.


Oluwatobi Akinsanya

POWER TO END STROKE

Oluwatobi (Tobi) Akinsanya is a fourth-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) student at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) in North Chicago, IL, anticipating graduation in June 2026. With over eight years of combined experience in community and hospital pharmacy, and most recently an industrial internship with Johnson & Johnson, Tobi has built a strong foundation in patient care, interprofessional collaboration, pharmaceutical sciences, and research and development.

From a young age, Tobi has been fueled by a passion for science and a desire to help people whether through contributing to the discovery of life-changing medications or working hands-on at the front lines of patient care. His values align deeply with SNPhA’s mission to serve the underserved. After attending his first national conference in 2023, he was inspired by the organization’s far-reaching impact and the diverse ways it uplifts communities.

Now, as the SNPhA National Power to End Stroke Chair, Tobi is honored to lead with the theme Rise Beyond Limits. In collaboration with the President and other national leaders, he is committed to advancing SNPhA’s mission by promoting resource literacy and empowering underserved communities in stroke prevention.

Chankira is deeply passionate about cardiac diseases and their impact on minority communities. As the National Power to End Stroke Initiative Chair, she aims to raise awareness about these conditions and improve health outcomes. She is looking forward to working alongside her fellow national board members as we all connect to make a change.


Victoria Briggs

REMEMBER THE RIBBON

Victoria Briggs is a first generation, fourth year pharmacy student at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. Born in California and raised in Texas, Victoria got her BA in Chemistry at Trinity University and was then encouraged by her family to apply to pharmacy school.

Victoria became involved with her local SNPhA chapter during her second year of school as the Remember the Ribbon initiative Co-Chair. Victoria raised funds for HIV-serving organizations, organized educational events, and completed HIV/AIDS-focused surge challenges. Her love for the organization and initiative led her to becoming the Vice President to continue and serve the mission of SNPhA.

In addition to SNPhA, Victoria has also been involved with the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Inc., and the Hispanic Pharmacy Student Association. Outside of pharmacy school, Victoria works as a Pharmacist Intern at Legacy Community Health in Montrose.

Victoria is honored to be given the opportunity to serve as the National Remember the Ribbon Initiative Chair for the 2025-2026 academic year. She is passionate about HIV care and education and its impact on minority communities and wants to work to empower students to lead in HIV advocacy and ensure that care is accessible and free of stigma. This year she is committed to Rise Beyond Limits.


Jalisa Grissett

MENTAL HEALTH

Jalisa Grissett is a fourth-year Doctor of Pharmacy candidate at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She earned her B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022. Originally from Supply, North Carolina, a rural community in the southeastern part of the state, she witnessed firsthand the challenges patients and families face when access to quality healthcare is limited. These experiences shaped her passion for advancing clinical pharmacy and her commitment to improving access to care for underserved populations.


Jalisa joined her local SNPhA chapter during her first year of pharmacy school, and immediately found a community of individuals who share the same passion for serving the underserved. She went on to serve as her local chapter’s mental health initiative chair for 2 years, where she was able to organize campus events to promote student well-being, coordinate lectures from psychiatric pharmacists to highlight the role that pharmacists play in improving mental health outcomes, and engage with the Chapel Hill community to reduce stigma surrounding mental health.

Now serving as the SNPhA National Mental Health Initiative Chair, Jalisa looks forward to expanding her efforts on a national level, advocating for mental health awareness and empowering SNPhA members and patients to Rise Beyond Limits.

Aaliyah Wade

COMBATING CANCER

Aaliyah Wade is a second-year PharmD candidate at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She is originally from Raeford, NC and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Human Biology from North Carolina State University.

Aaliyah joined SNPhA during her PY1 year, where she quickly discovered her passion for advocacy and community service. She was recognized as the third most engaged PY1 member in her chapter, which further fueled her involvement. After attending her first regional and national conferences, she was inspired to fully embrace SNPhA’s mission to serve the underserved and be a voice for minority and underrepresented communities. As the only P2 in her class to attend the national convention, Aaliyah found her voice and passion for leadership within the organization.

Now serving as the inaugural Combating Cancer Initiative Chair on the SNPhA National Board, Aaliyah is eager to develop creative and sustainable programming that raises awareness, promotes education, and unites members in the fight against cancer. She hopes to empower chapters across the nation to Rise Beyond Limits and make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Tazche Turner, PharmD earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and is a proud double Tar Heel, also holding a B.A. in Chemistry with a minor in Entrepreneurship from UNC. She is currently a U.S. Market Access Fellow at Bristol Myers Squibb in partnership with the Rutgers Institute for Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships.

Tazche is deeply committed to service. As the outgoing National President of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA), she led under the presidential theme “Connected for Change,” advancing initiatives that expanded access to care for individuals experiencing homelessness and educating student pharmacists on the impact of social determinants of health

Now, as Executive Chairwoman, Tazche is honored to continue supporting SNPhA’s mission and legacy. She is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders and ensuring members have the tools, resources, and connections to Rise Beyond Limits and create lasting impacts in their communities.

Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys solving puzzles, cycling with Peloton, cheering on her brother at soccer games, and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.


Yadira Hernandez

Bio


Ms. Yadira Hernandez was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and proudly embraces her bilingual Spanish background, rooted in her Puerto Rican heritage. A graduate of Tri-County Community College, she holds certifications in CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Surgical Technologist (CSM), and Home Health Aide (HHA).

With over five years of experience working as a CNA, Ms. Hernandez has developed a deep understanding of patient care and compassion—particularly in high-stress and emotionally demanding situations. Her time in healthcare has also shaped her awareness of the critical need for workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion in providing the highest quality care.

In addition to her healthcare background, she has held supervisory roles in various retail settings, where she brought innovative ideas and maintained strong organizational practices. Now serving as the Administrative Assistant for the SNPhA National Office, Ms. Hernandez supports key operations including conference planning, website reporting, online store management, and travel coordination..

She is excited to bring her unique blend of experiences to SNPhA, helping national student leaders Rise Beyond Limits as they work to serve and uplift communities across the country.

Dr. Robbie Christian

Bio


Dr. Robbie Christian earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Miami VA Healthcare System in Miami, Florida, followed by a PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System (VANEOHS) in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Christian began her clinical career in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she served for four years as an Infectious Diseases Clinical Specialist and Residency Program Coordinator. In 2022, she returned to VANEOHS, where she currently serves as the PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency Program Director and Clinical Pharmacy Specialist.

Board certified in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy, Dr. Christian has dedicated her early career to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the pharmacy profession. She is the past Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP) and currently serves as Executive Director of the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA).

A passionate educator and mentor, Dr. Christian has been recognized with multiple teaching awards, including Most Supportive Preceptor (2020), Preceptor of the Year (2021), and Pharmacy Teacher of the Year (2024). She is enthusiastic about empowering future pharmacy leaders and is committed to helping SNPhA’s national student leaders Rise Beyond Limits in collaboration with partners and communities.

Bio


Chelsey is a PGY2 Resident at the VA Atlanta Health Care System. She is originally from Swainsboro, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Georgia Southern University and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia.

Chelsey’s SNPhA story began in her first year of pharmacy school. She has proudly served as her chapter’s CAPs Vice Chair, as the Career Recruitment Chair on the National Bridging the Gap Sub-committee, the National Recording Secretary, and most recently as a National Executive Consultant, a role she will continue for another year.

Beyond SNPhA, Chelsey is involved in Dose of Melanin and serves as a member of the Federal Resident Council. She also leads a personal initiative called SafeHaven Rx, which focuses on educating the community about substance use disorders and harm reduction strategies.

In her free time, Chelsey enjoys exercising, experimenting with new recipes, playing with her dog, and spending quality time with family and friends. Her passion for serving and advocating for her community, along with helping students discover their own paths within the pharmacy profession, fuels her ongoing commitment to SNPhA. Chelsey is excited to continue working with students and the National Board to Rise Beyond Limits.
