In advance of the Legislative and Regulatory Advocacy Breakfast session held as part of the 2024 NPhA | SNPhA Convention, NPhA and the Cencora U.S. Public Policy and Advocacy team conducted a webinar to teach NPhA members about public policy and advocacy, why advocacy is important for pharmacy, and examples of how to begin or enhance advocacy efforts.
Participants will gain an understanding of the role and functions of public policy, state and federal advocacy and political programs.
Attendees will learn about the role Cencora’s public policy and advocacy team plays as the intermediary between (1) upstream manufacturing customers and downstream pharmacy and provider customers, (2) federal and state lawmakers and regulatory agencies, and (3) the patients we serve.
The Cencora U.S. Public Policy & Advocacy team seeks to advocate for the crucial role pharmacists can play at the frontline in the midst of a lack of patient access and resources, with the goal to contribute to a healthier future.
