AstraZeneca is a proud sponsor of the first-ever Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) Medical Science Liaison Simulation (MSL) Competition, where student members have the opportunity to leverage their clinical expertise and demonstrate their passion for translating science into action. This initiative offers students the unique opportunity to apply their clinical knowledge, experience, and problem solving skills to address real-world business challenges in the first ever SNPhA-Lilly business competition. The LEAP at Lilly™ initiative also affords students the platform to learn more about professional roles at Lilly like the Visiting Scientist Fellowship, internships, and other internal and entry level positions for current and future pharmacists.

The National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA) Foundation is a charity which supports the missions of NPhA and SNPhA. The Foundation supports students at National Meeting through registration support and various scholarships, a majority of which are donated by individual pharmacists to support SNPhA members through pharmacy school.

Rite Aid sponsors professional development for SNPhA members by hosting an annual Leadership Academy at National Meeting. Attendees receive personalized CV review and feedback from recruiters. Rite Aid also recognizes student leadership with their Community Leader of the Year Award.


Additionally, Rite Aid sponsors the Chauncey I. Cooper (CIC) Excellence Award, which is the highest recognition given to deserving SNPhA chapters that effectively promote the goals of our organization. Awards are given for the top chapter in small, medium, and large chapter categories, and the overall Chapter of the Year receives an additional award.

Shot@Life is a campaign of the United Nations Foundation that aims to ensure children around the world have access to life-saving vaccines. Through our partnership with SNPhA, we work to educate, connect, and empower individuals to champion global vaccines as one of the most effective ways to save the lives of children in developing countries.

Kroger Health invests in the professional development of SNPhA members by sponsoring the highly anticipated Clinical Skills Competition at regional and national meetings. Teams are challenged to assess a patient case and develop and present a plan to a panel of judges. Selected winners receive scholarships and additional prizes to further their clinical skills.


In recent years, the Kroger Company has added to the national meeting by hosting breakfast or lunch events for students to learn about internship, residency, clinical pharmacy, and management opportunities within their company.

Walmart sponsors community outreach and personal and professional development for SNPhA members, such as the Prescription for Service scholarship award established in 2012. Prescription for Service gives grants to student teams in each of our 5 regions to implement a sustainable community health project. Members of the top team each year receive a scholarship.
