SNPhA J.B. Hills Chapter President of the Year Award

The Chapter President of the Year (CPOY) Award was established by the 2011–2012 SNPhA Executive Board and is proudly sponsored by the NPhA Foundation. This prestigious award honors a student pharmacist who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and made a significant impact within their chapter and the pharmacy profession. This year, we are seeking a leader who embodies the 2025–2026 National Presidential Theme: "Rise  Beyond Limits."

Who Can Be Nominated?

Important Dates

Any active SNPhA member may:

  • Nominate their Chapter President (if you are not the Chapter President)

OR

  • Submit a self-nomination (if you are the Chapter President)

Following the nomination period, selected nominees will be invited to interview with the National Vice President and the five (5) Regional Facilitators during the summer. Finalists will be notified, and the winner will be announced at the 2026 NPhA/SNPhA National Convention in Rockville, MD this August.

NOTE: All finalists must be registered for the 2026 NPhA/SNPhA National Convention and be in attendance at the closing banquet. Failure to attend will result in disqualification.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Application Requirements

To be considered, the nominee must:

  • Be an active SNPhA member and the 2025-2026 Chapter President
  • Be enrolled full-time in the first through fourth professional year of an accredited pharmacy program (including accelerated programs) during the 2025–2026 academic year
  • Maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Belong to a chapter that has:
    • Participated in all 9 national initiatives
    • Met at least 50% of monthly report deadlines

All nominees must submit:

  • A completed online application form
  • An updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume
  • Official or Unofficial transcripts will be accepted. Electronic transcripts should be submitted in the application form here
  • A Letter of Recommendation submitted to the form here

If you have previously submitted your transcript for other SNPhA awards, you may reuse those materials for this application.

How to Submit a Nomination

To nominate a Chapter President:

You will be asked to submit a 250-500 word Letter of Recommendation describing why your nominee should be chosen for the award. After submitting your nomination, please inform your Chapter President of their nomination so they may gather their additional application materials.

  • An email with detailed instructions on how to complete the application and the submission deadline for the CV and transcript will be sent to all nominated Chapter Presidents.


To self-nominate:

To nominate yourself for this award, you must complete and submit a Chapter President of the Year Application 

  • Request a Letter of Recommendation from someone who knows your work with your chapter. This letter should answer the question, “Why should [Nominee Name] be recognized as this year’s J.B. Hills Chapter President of the Year?"

    • Letters of Recommendation must be submitted to the google form above. 

  • Submit your CV/Resume

  • Submit a Transcript (unofficial or official)

    • NOTE: If you have previously submitted your transcript for other SNPhA awards, you may reuse those materials for this application, if not use the form above.
