Hosted in collaboration with the Columbus Pharmaceutical Society (CPhS)
Title: Integrating East and West Treatment Modalities
Type: Application-based
Description:
This presentation explores the integration of Eastern and Western treatment modalities through the lens of a practicing pharmacist and entrepreneur, Dr. Emlah Tubuo.
Drawing from her work at Powell Pharmacy, an integrative lifestyle pharmacy, Dr. Tubuo highlights how traditional evidence-based medicine can be thoughtfully combined with lifestyle interventions, nutrition, and targeted supplementation to support whole-person care.
Rooted in her personal experiences growing up in Cameroon and facing preventable diseases such as malaria, typhoid fever, and dysentery, this session emphasizes the power of prevention, early intervention, and patient education. Attendees will gain insight into how pharmacists can expand their role beyond dispensing to identify root causes, address nutrient deficiencies, and develop individualized wellness strategies.
Grounded in the principles of intentional living and kindness, this presentation offers a practical and inspiring framework for integrating diverse healing approaches to improve patient outcomes and elevate the standard of care.
