Public Policy & Advocacy 101
Presented by:
Free Webinar!
In advance of the Legislative and Regulatory Advocacy Breakfast session planned as part of the 2024 NPhA | SNPhA Convention, please join NPhA and the Cencora U.S. Public Policy and Advocacy team to learn about public policy and advocacy, why advocacy is imperative for pharmacy/pharmacists, and examples of how you can begin or enhance your advocacy efforts. As a highly regulated industry in today's dynamic political and policy landscape, it is essential for pharmacists to have an impactful voice in the policymaking arena to shape current and future healthcare policy, and to know how legislation and policies impact pharmacies, pharmacists and patients. Participants will gain an understanding of the role and functions of public policy, state and federal advocacy and political programs.
Attendees will learn about the role Cencora’s public policy and advocacy team plays as the intermediary between (1) our upstream manufacturing customers and downstream pharmacy and provider customers, (2) federal and state lawmakers and regulatory agencies, and (3) the patients we all seek to serve.
The Cencora U.S. Public Policy & Advocacy team seeks to advocate for the crucial role pharmacists can play at the frontline in the midst of a lack of patient access and resources, with the goal to contribute to a healthier future.
