Shawn-Ta De-Vaughn Brown, PharmD

Standing on Business: Being Paid What You're Worth and Nothing Less

About Dr. Brown:


Dr. Shawn-Ta Brown is a dynamic Clinical Oncology Pharmacist and emerging thought leader dedicated to empowering healthcare professionals to recognize and command their true worth. With years of experience in both clinical practice and leadership, she brings a unique perspective on salary negotiation, mindset transformation, and advocating for equitable compensation.

At this year’s NPhA National Convention, Dr. Brown will deliver her session, "Standing on Business: Being Paid What You're Worth and Nothing Less," challenging attendees to shift from a mindset of gratitude to one of professional value — emphasizing that compensation should reflect services rendered, expertise provided, and impact made. Dr. Brown is passionate about helping professionals, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, advocate for themselves with confidence, clarity, and purpose.


Camille Campbell, PharmD, RPh

Health Equity Through Clinical Trial Diversity: An Update and Call to Action for Pharmacists 

About Dr. Campbell:

Camille Campbell, PharmD, RPh (formerly Camille Pope) is Senior Director of Health Equity and former Chief Medical Lead at Acclinate. Acclinate leverages community engagement and trust-enabling technology to empower communities to take actions for better health and improve representation in clinical research. Dr. Campbell uses her 17+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience to implement Acclinate’s health equity strategies and lead medical communications between Black and Brown community members, research sites, and biopharma/healthcare partners. She also contributes strategic market intelligence to help develop the company’s platforms and services.

Previously, Dr. Campbell excelled in Medical Affairs at AstraZeneca (AZ) as a US Medical Oncology Lead, launching new drug indications and engaging clinical experts. At Abbvie, she was a Senior Medical Science Liaison for Hepatitis C/HIV. Her early career involved Scientific Publications.

A champion for workforce diversity and inclusive research, Dr. Campbell founded AZ's US Medical Oncology Inclusion & Diversity Talent Workstream, creating initiatives like the AZ-Howard University fellowship. She has served on the Industry Pharmacist Organization (IPhO) Diversity Team and is active in NPhA and Young Black Pharma (YBP). Her work at Acclinate has been presented at numerous conferences and in publications, and she has been recognized by National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) as a "Top 40 Under 40 Leader in Minority Health" and by YBP for talent cultivation.

Dr. Campbell holds a PharmD from Florida A&M University, completed a pharmaceutical industry fellowship with Bristol-Myers Squibb/Rutgers University, and earned a certificate in Health Disparities Research from the University of Illinois Chicago. She is also the Principal Owner of Bella Peek Consulting, LLC

Jason C. Dove, PharmD

Substance Abuse Among Healthcare Professionals. "When The Help Needs Help"

About Dr. Dove:


Jason C. Dove, PharmD., is a 1993 Graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana. He is currently practicing hospital pharmacy but have worked in several other practice settings including ambulatory, retail, and clinic environments.

He returned to the practice in 2014 after a long battle with substance abuse which included license suspensions, incarcerations, and  homelessness. June 18, 2025 will mark 17 years of total abstinence from all mood/mind altering substances.

A part of his recovery included being involved in a Professional Recovery Network where he met many medical professionals who were also fighting the disease of addiction.

He decided to speak on this topic because it is an issue that, because of the right to privacy, these issues don't get enough attention.

Gold Eneyo, PharmD

Breaking Barriers: How Clinical Pharmacists Are Shaping the Future of Community Health

About Dr. Eneyo:


Dr. Gold Eneyo, PharmD, joined Cencora in 2022 after more than seven years in community pharmacy. As the Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services, she is committed to fostering the development and expansion of clinical pharmacy solutions and programs tailored for independent pharmacies. Dr. Eneyo has consistently demonstrated a deep passion for advancing the pharmacy profession while advocating for its vitality and sustainability. An alumna of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, she is widely recognized as a leader in the field and was named one of the "50 Most Influential Leaders in Pharmacy 2024." Dr. Eneyo also gives back to the profession by serving as a mentor to pharmacy students and a preceptor, guiding the next generation of pharmacists. 



Careen-Joan Franklin, PharmD

Increasing Access to Buprenorphine Through Collaboration Management of Patients with Opioid Use Disorder

About Dr. Franklin:


Dr. Careen-Joan Franklin is the Director of Clinical Operations and Administrator of Royale Care VA Home Health Services. Dr. Franklin is also an independent Clinical Consultant Pharmacist in DC, Maryland and Virginia and a Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) certified consultant who works with long term care and community-based organizations seeking to streamline their medication-use processes, improve outcomes for patient’s psycho pharmacotherapy, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Prior to this, she was a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of Community Pharmacy Residency Programs at Howard University College of Pharmacy (HUCOP).

Dr. Franklin also worked as a Clinical Pharmacist at the Howard University Hospital Outpatient Mental Health Center where she provided pharmacotherapy services to individuals with psychiatric disease states including smoking cessation services for people with tobacco use disorder and medication therapy management for opioid use disorder (OUD). She was the Director of the HUCOP Opioid Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution program in partnership with DC Health, has served as a coordinator for the Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education Programs in Maryland, is a member of the DC Health Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Advisory Committee and continues to work to increase community access to naloxone and medications for opioid use disorder through pharmacist-led collaborative efforts.

Dr. Franklin served as a chair of several committees for the Maryland Pharmacists Association, was a Maryland delegate for the American Pharmacists Association House of Delegates, is the co-chair for the National Pharmaceutical Association Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee and serves on committees in several other national pharmacy organizations.

Dr. Franklin has been awarded grants to implement projects that increase patient’s access to care and continues to work closely with DC Health to improve patient access to care within community pharmacies.

Kirstyn Hill, PharmD, MPH

Making Every Patient Feel Seen: The Role of Inclusive Language in Healthcare

About Dr. Hill:


Dr. Kirstyn Hill is a 2015 graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (BS in Interdisciplinary Health/Health Disparities) and 2019 graduate from the University of Kentucky (PharmD, MPH). She currently works as a full time regulatory medical writer with ProPharma Group, authoring and editing a variety of regulatory and research-related documents for numerous pharmaceutical clients.

Kirstyn has also worked as a clinical pediatric and women’s health pharmacist since 2020. In both roles, she enjoys education, training, and precepting new employees and learners, and places a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration.

Kirstyn also freelances as a health-content writer. Kirstyn decided to become a freelance healthcare writer because she is passionate about closing education gaps between healthcare and the community and enjoys making complex medical information understandable to all. She also hopes to help remove the perceived stigmas surrounding the discussion of certain health conditions and experiences.

Kirstyn’s areas of interest include pediatrics; women’s health; sexual and reproductive health; public health; health equity; health disparities; diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); education; precepting; and leadership. 

Dr. Anaïs Webster Mennuti, PharmD

All Inclusive Advocacy: Activist + Appointed + Association = Action

About Dr. Menutti:

Dr. Anaïs Webster Mennuti, PharmD, combines her decade of pharmacy practice experience with a flair for storytelling to direct and produce HARMACY. After witnessing firsthand the unsafe conditions in retail pharmacy, Dr. Webster Mennuti is uniquely positioned to address these issues through this documentary project.

Having completed the prestigious Docs in Progress Legacy Fellowship in 2024, she gained advanced film production insights and networking opportunities to propel her vision.

With a background in writing and creative projects, including screenplays and novels, Dr. Webster Mennuti is equipped to achieve Netflix-level impact with her film.​

Currently, Dr. Webster Mennuti lives in Eugene OR with her husband, two daughters, two cats and dog, and practices inpatient pharmacy at a local health system.

Briana (Bri) P. Murray, PharmD, BCACP

Transgender Health Matters: Compassion, Care and Medications

About Dr. Murray:

Dr. Briana (Bri) P. Murray received her Bachelor of Science’s degree in Biochemistry from Clemson University in 2012 and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the South Carolina College of Pharmacy in Columbia, SC in 2016. Upon graduation, she moved to Indianapolis, IN to complete a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency at Dr. Aziz Pharmacy/Purdue University College of Pharmacy.

Following her PGY1, Dr. Murray accepted a staff pharmacist position at an innovative Walgreens Pharmacy that offered compounding, delivery, and specialized services to a local federally qualified health center (FQHC). After working in the community for 3 years, she decided to further her training by completing a PGY2 in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy with Community Care Physicians, P.C./Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Using her newly gained skills, she moved to Baltimore, MD to be a clinical pharmacist for Correct Rx Pharmacy Services, Inc, where she was responsible for clinical and administrative duties for 4 correctional facilities in central Maryland. To continue her passion of helping the underserved population, Dr. Murray was hired in January 2023 to expand a diabetes management clinic with a local FQHC, Chase Brexton Health Care.

Dr. Murray’s current interests are diabetes, psychiatry and transgender health.

Nkem P. Nonyel, PharmD, MPH, BCPS

Social Determinants of Health Among Individuals Living with Sickle Cell Disease

About Dr. Nonyel:


Nkem P. Nonyel, PharmD, MPH, BCPS is a Clinical Associate Professor and Non-Traditional PharmD Program Manager at the Howard University College of Pharmacy in Washington DC. Her clinical pharmacy practice is in acute care internal medicine at the Howard University Hospital, Washington DC.

Prior to her employment at Howard University, she was an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy, where she taught within the PharmD, Physician Assistant, Pharmaceutical Sciences Post-Graduate, and Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Rural Health Disparities and Social Inequity programs, respectively.

Her previous clinical pharmacy practices include but not limited to primary care, population health care, critical care, surgical-anesthesia care. In her clinical pharmacy roles, Dr. Nonyel provided clinical decision support to physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners; and medication education and device counseling to patients and their caregivers while fostering an experiential learning environment for PharmD students and residents; medical students, interns, and residents; and physician assistant students.

Prior to the pharmacy profession, Dr. Nonyel was a Licensed Practical Nurse in acute and subacute settings, and in pediatric home care. She earned a PharmD degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and completed an ASHP-accredited postgraduate Year 1 pharmacy residency training at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, Maryland.

Her research focuses on Sickle Cell Disease and public health, especially social determinants of health, health disparities, and cultural competence.

Jewell Reddick, PharmD, Esq.

Executive Orders and The Reshaping of Healthcare in Underrepresented Communities

About Dr. Reddick:

The Honorable Dr. Jewell Reddick is an Administrative Law Judge in Washington, D.C., where he presides over cases related to tobacco control and healthcare matters.

With a distinguished career spanning both healthcare and law, Dr. Reddick combines clinical expertise as a licensed pharmacist with extensive experience in administrative law and public policy. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy, magna cum laude, from Florida A&M University, and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law.

Dr. Reddick serves as Vice Chair of the District of Columbia’s Opioid Fatality Review Board, contributing to critical efforts to combat the opioid crisis in the District of Columbia. He is a dedicated member of the Apothecary Board of Visitors for Florida A&M University’s College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, where he supports the advancement of pharmacy education and professional development.

A passionate advocate for health equity and legal integrity, he brings a unique, interdisciplinary perspective to today’s most pressing public health and regulatory challenges.


Theo Rukundo, Pharm.D MBA

Advancing Pharmacy Practice: Mastering the Pharmacy Supply Chain in Today’s Healthcare Delivery Systems

About Dr. Rukundo


Dr. Theo Rukundo, PharmD, MBA is the Director, Pharmacy Supply Chain and Contracting at Boston Medical Center Health System. He oversees Pharmacy supply chain for one of the largest safety-net or 340B covered entities in greater Boston area with over $750M in annual pharmacy spend across acute care (over 1000 beds), ambulatory care, infusion centers, retail pharmacies, specialty pharmacies and a large network of BMC contracted pharmacies.

He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Howard University school of Pharmacy from Washington DC and Masters of Business Administration with dual concentration in Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics from University of Nebraska Lincoln.

For the last 16 years, he practiced pharmacy in various settings including academia research, community pharmacy, hospital clinical pharmacy and pharmacy administration.

Outside civilian professions, he is also serving in the military in the United States Navy as the Officer-In-Charge for Naval Reserve Logistics Support for Seal Team 17, out of Coronado, CA.

In spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, attending hockey games and playing mini golf with family.

Garet Turner, CMP, CAE

About Mr. Turner

Garet Turner is the CEO of the Arizona Pharmacy Association, bringing nearly 20 years of senior-level experience in the non-profit and association space. Having managed volunteer engagement, direct sales, fundraising, and large-scale event planning, Garet is also a Certified Meetings Professional, a Certified Golf Tournament Planner, and a Certified Association Executive. Known for strategic planning, entrepreneurial thinking, and program development, Garet has a strong commitment to relationships, innovation, diversity, and integrity.

In addition to his career in the tax-exempt sector, Garet has built and maintains a real estate company with his husband. Previously serving as Principal + Managing Partner at Agile Home Team of EXP Realty, Garet expanded their luxury real estate division and led the creation and expansion of their property management efforts through Agile Property Management, achieving consistent 5-star ratings and increasing market share and revenue growth.

In previous roles, Garet served as the Thought Leader and Co-Creator at Flock Theory, as the Vice President of Strategic Engagement and Member Experience at the Association of Air Medical Services, and as the Chief Development Officer at ASAE and the ASAE Research Foundation.

A proud Boilermaker, Garet holds a BA in Political Science from Purdue University and expects to graduate with an MS in Nonprofit and Association Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2026.

Recognized for their contributions to the industry, Garet has received awards such as Young and Aspiring from Association Trends in 2020 and Forty Under 40 from Association Forum in 2019.

Potential Indicators of Decreased Consumer Engagement in HIV PrEP Telehealth

About Dr. Ware:


Kenric B. Ware is a clinical pharmacist with specialized expertise in HIV care and a track record in pharmacy education. Kenric has served in a number of HIV leadership roles including as current Chair of the Board of the Joseph H. Neal Health Collaborative in Columbia, South Carolina and previous chairperson of the South Carolina (SC) HIV/AIDS Council.

Kenric also participates as a board member of Challenges, Incorporated located in Greenville, South Carolina. He is also a former SC state representative on the Southeastern AIDS Education and Training Center (SE AETC) Advisory Committee.

In addition, Kenric serves as a dedicated clinical pharmacy educator within his role on faculty and Mercer University College of Pharmacy. His experience in HIV-related pharmacy education, advocacy and leadership in community-level HIV initiatives, and his administrative experience as a pharmacist leading an HIV treatment and prevention facility within an Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) priority jurisdiction allows him to appreciate the complexities of healthcare and the work that remains to ensure that all health disparities dwindle among all populations.

Porscha Johnson Williams, PharmD, CPGx

About Dr. Johnson Williams:


Dr. Porscha Johnson Williams is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Howard University College of Pharmacy in Washington, DC. She furthered her training through the completion of a post-doctoral clinical pharmacy fellowship in hematology/oncology and critical care at Howard University Hospital.


Double-certified in pharmacogenomics, she enthusiastically embodies a special interest in the clinical utility of precision oncology and pharmacogenomics/genetics to optimize therapy, improve outcomes, and advocate for health equity for all cancer patients.
