Calling all New Practitioners and current Pharmacy students! Join us for this free panel presentation! Recent graduates will discuss their experiences with applying for residency or fellowships, the obstacles they experienced, and the challenges they are facing (and overcoming) associated with being a minority in the pharmacy profession. Our presenters will also share their recommendations for current students. 

Panelists: 

Dr. Takira Morrison is a dedicated pharmacist with over seven years of experience in the field, beginning as a technician at Rite Aid and Walgreens. Dr. Morrison graduated from High Point University Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy with her PharmD in May 2023. During pharmacy school, she was an engaged member of SNPhA all four years, reinforcing her dedication to serving the underserved. Currently, Dr. Morrison is completing a Walgreens/Campbell University PGY1 community pharmacy residency. Her primary practice site is at a Walgreens specialty pharmacy, where she specializes in HIV and oncology care. 


Dr. Rashad Elliott is a native of Cincinnati, OH. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy. Dr. Elliott currently serves as the President of CinPhA.







Dr. Megan Griffin is currently the first-year Global Regulatory Affairs PharmD Fellow at UCB in conjunction with IPhO, based in Atlanta, GA. She is a 2023 graduate of the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Megan was born and raised in South Mills, NC. Outside of work, she enjoys exercising, baking, and spending quality time with her family and friends.



Dr. Tierra Jackson is the Immediate Past President of SNPhA and an MS PGY-1 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She received her PharmD from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and is originally from Statesboro, Ga. Tierra has always been passionate about uplifting underserved communities and offering equitable resources to patients, and students from diverse backgrounds. During her undergraduate career, she served as her Pre-Pharmacy Society President, NAACP Vice President and Service Coordinator, and Clinic Manager at Mercy Health Clinic.
