2023 Board Nominations & Elections

NPhA Members: NPhA will hold elections for the following leadership positions in advance of the 2023 Convention:

  • Treasurer
  • Zone 2 Director
  • Zone 5 Director

Descriptions of these positions can be found below. The elected officers will serve two-year terms. The nomination period has closed and the Nominating Committee will review submissions and prepare the ballot. Once the final ballot has been approved, additional information on candidates and the election process will be available on this page.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Only current NPhA members in good standing are eligible to stand for election, and only current NPhA members will be eligible to vote. If your membership has lapsed, please take a moment to renew your membership. Contact us at npha@npha.net if you require assistance. 

1. Treasurer

The Treasurer shall be responsible to the Board of Directors for the supervision of all financial affairs of the ASSOCIATION, serve as Chair of the Finance Committee, approve all expenditures of the ASSOCIATION, make biannual financial reports to the membership (which includes, but is not limited to, an income and expense statement and an assets and liabilities statement), which reflects a certified audit of the current financial condition of the ASSOCIATION. The Treasurer shall also be responsible for the continuing management of the financial affairs of the ASSOCIATION.

The Treasurer shall periodically review and approve internal controls designed to assure proper control of funds and disbursements and make sure that current and projected income and expenses meet the budget of the NPhA. The Treasurer shall periodically review and report upon the long-term financial projections and plans of the NPhA.

Attendance at the NPhA annual convention is mandatory as an officer.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree
  • Must be an active NPhA member in good standing for the last 3 years


2. Zone Directors (2 positions available)

Zone 2 (Southeastern Zone): North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and the Virgin Islands.

Zone 5 (Western Zone): Montana, Arizona, Oregon, Alaska, California, Washington, North Dakota, South Dakota, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho. 

The Zone Director will serve as a voting member of the board of directors and point person for NPhA chapters and members in their region. This officer position is a 2-year term. Attendance at the NPhA annual convention is mandatory as an officer. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree;
  • Must be an active member in good standing for at least 1 year; and
  • Must reside in the zone which he/she represents
