2024 Officers Nominations & Election

NPhA Members: The nomination period has now closed for the following leadership positions:

  • NPhA President-Elect
  • NPhA Secretary
  • Zone 1 Director
  • Zone 3 Director
  • Zone 4 Director

Descriptions of the open positions can be found below. The elected officers will serve two-year terms, with terms commencing in conjunction with the 2024 Convention. 

Information on the upcoming election will be made available shortly.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Once voting opens, only current NPhA members in good standing will be eligible to cast a ballot. If your membership has lapsed, please take a moment to renew your membership. Contact us at npha@npha.net if you require assistance. 


President-Elect

The President-Elect shall assume the powers and duties of the President when he or she is unable to perform the duties of that office, fill the office of President for any unexpired term (should that office become vacant), serve as Chair of the Membership Committee and perform other duties as assigned by the President or Board of Directors.

All individuals seeking the office of President-Elect must 1) be an active member in good standing with the Association, 2) 

Attendance at the NPhA annual convention is mandatory as an officer.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree,
  • Must be an active NPhA member in good standing for the last 3 years,
  • Must have a minimum of three years of experience in the profession, and
  • Must have served on a professional board for a minimum of one year prior to running for the position

Secretary

The Secretary shall keep an accurate record of all ASSOCIATION affairs; shall keep and maintain an accurate record of the meetings of the Board of Directors, the House of Delegates and such other activities as the President or Board of Directors may direct. The Secretary shall give all notices required by law. The Secretary shall have authority to affix the corporate seal to any document requiring it and attest thereto by his or her signature. 

Attendance at the NPhA annual convention is mandatory as an officer. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree, and
  • Must be an active NPhA member in good standing for the last 3 years

  • Zone Directors (3 positions available)

Zone 1 (Northeastern Zone): Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia

Zone 3 (Midwestern Zone):  Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Wisconsin

Zone 4 (Southwestern Zone): Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and the British West Islands.

The Zone Director will serve as a voting member of the board of directors and point person for NPhA chapters and members in their region. This officer position is a 2-year term.

Attendance at the NPhA annual convention is mandatory as an officer. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree;
  • Must be an active member in good standing for at least 1 year; and
  • Must reside in the Zone which he/she represents
